The EDCTP networks of excellence project managers (Networks acting in the strengthening of capacities in clinical research in the four regions of Africa) participated from 10 to 14 February 2020 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to training on the evaluation of procedures for evaluating scientific protocols by the Ethics Committees, organised by the Pan-African Bioethics Network (PABIN). This workshop, which focused on the development of Ethical review capacities and good research practices, was a practical case because it involved a real time evaluation of the ethics review procedures of scientific protocols from Armauer Hansen Research Institute in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
